
Daniyal Virk
Daniyal Virk is a sophomore at Cornell University, majoring in Global Development and Computer Science. Originally from Boston, MA, Daniyal has demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial spirit, having previously run an AI education company aimed at helping students learn about emerging technologies by connecting them with faculty from elite colleges and industry entrepreneurs for workshops. He has also organized educational panels with prominent representatives from Apple, HBO, OpenAI, Forbes 30 Under 30, and more. Daniyal has mentored and coached over 50 startup teams, guiding them through ideation, user research, and finding product-market fit, helping them launch and secure deals with companies worth hundreds of millions of dollars and with some of Canada’s largest coding non-profits.
Born in Lahore and raised between Pakistan and the United States, Daniyal currently serves as the Special Projects Team Lead and Treasurer of the Cornell Pakistani Students Association, where he leads the Special Projects team, focusing on creating professional development opportunities and enhancing outreach to other schools. Additionally, Daniyal is a member of the Community Committee on the Executive Board of Cornell’s Muslim Educational Campus Association. Daniyal himself has a deep passion for empowering underrepresented communities through education and technology. He worked with the Massachusetts Secretary of Education and its Department of Education and worked to input changes to school curriculum to showcase more contributions of Muslim Americans and other minorities in American history. He brought on the Massachusetts Secretary of Education with a meeting where students could submit their respective proposals and give student input directly. He is immensely excited to help bring this conference to life.
